    Job Description

    The In-Room Dining Order Taker will be the primary point-of-contact for our guests who wish to experience a five-diamond quality in-room meal or beverage experience. This person will close checks to the correct account and ensure servers have all the information they need to deliver orders efficiently and correctly.  The In-Room Dining Cashier also facilitates amenity deliveries, calls back guests to ensure every aspect of their order was delivered to their satisfaction and does whatever it takes to ensure timely and accurate service.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible to answer the phone within three rings.
    • Take orders for guests.
    • Must follow prepared scenario to encourage upselling.
    • Give the approximate time of delivery for the order.
    • Understanding of the In Room Dining Menu.
    • Know and adhere to all liability laws.
    • Printing of reports at the end of the shift and banking out.
    • Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions.
    • Enter all guest orders into our point-of-sale system (MICROS) according to Omni standards
    • Follow Omni guidelines for up-selling to enhance revenue and guest satisfaction
    • Process and expedite Select Guest (loyalty program) orders
    • Complete other duties assigned.

     

    Qualifications

    • 1+ years of food and beverage service preferred.
    • Previous customer service.
    • Honest and dependable, great customer service and a positive attitude.
    • Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work Days, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for the duration of a full-shift.
    • Must have a valid Riverside County Food Handlers Card and must be TIPS Certified.
    • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
    • Ability to multi-task and remain calm and guest service oriented at all times.
    • Ability to keep positive attitude and be team oriented.
    • Previous customer service.
    • Attend all meetings and safety trainings
