    Job Description

    To monitor and maintain the room rack including but not limited to blocking rooms, pre-registering guest and monitoring rates and packages. The Rooms Control Agent also needs to be familiar with all Front Desk Operations.

    Responsibilities

     

    • To be thoroughly acquainted with all check-in policies and procedures. 
    • To be thoroughly acquainted with all check-out policies and procedures. 
    • To be familiar with guest scenarios. 
    • To be familiar with all technical equipment related to the Front Desk. 
    • To block and pre- register all arriving reservations. 
    • To be familiar with all hotel facilities. 
    • To be familiar with general organization set-up. 
    • To be familiar with the inter-relationship between the different departments. 
    • Must be able to train new associates. 
    • Broad knowledge of Epitome, Synergy and Vingcard systems. 
    • Familiar with all reservation special packages and procedures. 
    • Familiar with Housekeeping procedures. 
    • Understand Select Guest Program and VIP procedures. 
    • Understand all radio codes. 
    • Understand all emergency procedures.
    • Computer and printer, typewriter, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine, facsimile machine, Vingcard encoder, radios and Nextel. 
    • Interior and on occasion exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.

    Qualifications

     

    • Previous experience in a Rooms Control or Back Office Position Preferred
    • Previous experience in a Front Desk position at a 4 Diamond Luxury Resort Preferrred
    • Previous Customer Service Experience Preferred

    Customer Service, Cash Handling, Computer Skills
