    Job Description

    Responsible for maintaining, installing and repairing HVAC/R equipment. The Refrigeration/HVAC Technician role is dedicated to providing quality service that exceeds Guest and Member expectations work to create guests for life, by proactively embracing service standards, adhering to safety regulations and gaining the knowledge to assist guests with any and all needs.

    Responsibilities

    • Assemble, install, test, and maintain HVAC/R equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
    • Complete task assigned through the work order process.
    • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
    • Inspect HVAC/R systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
    • Uses a variety of tools and equipment including but not limited to power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment.
    • Work with each department to assure emergency and safety work orders are handled promptly.
    • Conduct daily walk-thru of all chillers to identify and correct potential problems.
    • Update and order parts for an inventory parts supply used for above equipment.
    • Keep an accurate freon usage log.
    • Consistently practice and provide safe work environment.
    • Relay any pertinent information to night shift on a daily basis.
    • Turn in daily time tickets.
    • Maintain a good teamwork attitude.
    • Clean work areas and vehicle daily.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
    • 1-2 years commercial HVAC/R experience required.
    • Trade school in air conditioning and refrigeration required.
    • Must be 18 years of age.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company MVR requirements.
    • BOMA Certification preferred, CFC certification required.
