    Job Description

    To assist in the coordination of Housekeeping /room assignments to associates.


    • Open Housekeeping department.
    • Respond to all phone calls/requests from guests and other departments.
    • Monitor computer system.
    • Monitor inventory control.
    • Monitor office supply inventory.
    • Maintain clear and efficient communication with the Front Desk.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization in department.
    • Dispatch specific requests to floor supervisors and runners.
    • Oversee hourly housekeeping reports.
    • Maintain accurate house count.
    • Ensure extra rooms and rollaway beds are paid accurately and on time.
    • Maintain key inventory.  Have keys remade when they are not working.
    • Log and calculate outside labor hours to assist Housekeeping Management with accurate billing.
    • Prepare paper work for next day opening.
    • Complete any special projects that might be assigned
    • During the off season, will be assisting as a floor supervisor


    • At least 1 year of previous hotel housekeeping experience or rooms controller experience required.
    • Able to work with management.
    • Able to communicate with all shifts and departments.
    • Must have good communication skills.
    • Ability to use pen, computer, photo-copying machine, cleaning chemicals, cart, telephone, vacuum, radio
    • Ability to work inside of hotel with possible exposure to the outside.
    • To be able to lift/push a minimum of 50 lbs.
    • Able to stand for a long period of time.
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
