    Job Description

    The Omni Barton Creek Resort and Spa is searching for Housekeeping associates to assist seasonally at the resort. These associates will work in multiple areas of the Housekeeping Department including Guest Room Attendant, Laundry Attendant, and Turndown Attendant. This position is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in each guest room. Guest Room Attendants refresh rooms for guests who are continuing their stay, as well as, thoroughly clean rooms of guests who have checked out in preparation for the next guest checking in. Laundry Attendants work as a team to ensure a smooth operation and to provide clean linen throuout the hotel. 

    Responsibilities

    • Thoroughly clean guest rooms including: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting
    • Restock and replace used items within guest rooms 
    • Communicate clean status of each room upon completion 
    • Remove room service trays and tables from guest rooms 
    • Stock supply cart and ensure that it is neat and well organized at all times 
    • Check all equipment prior to and after use to ensure that it is in good working order
    • Respond to all hotel guests efficiently and in an appropriately friendly manner
    • Sorting of dirty linen from laundry chute to be processed. 
    • Pickup of dirty linen from Food & Beverage Outlets/Banquets 
    • Operating all washers, dryers, ironers and towel folders 
    • Stacking clean items into laundry bins/trucks to be delivered to the guest room floors or Food & Beverage areas.
    • Adhere by safety and sanitization regulations as instructed by OSHA and the Omni Hotels & Resorts.

    Qualifications

    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Must be able to work well in a team environment
    • Ability and willingness to stand for 8+ hours at a time
    • Ability and willingness bend, stretch, reach, lift up to 20 lbs, and push up to 40 lbs
    • Ability and willingness to complete all work assignments in an efficient and customer oriented manner
    • Ability and willingness to meet the company's Standard of Appearance (ie Dress Code) policy
    • Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule which includes working on weekends and holidays
    • Previous experience in housekeeping is preferred
