    Job Description

     The Leader in Development program is Omni Hotels & Resorts’ Leader-In-Development (LID) program is a challenging twelve month curriculum designed to develop entry level candidates and offer them expanded career opportunities. The LID will experience hands on learning through their respective division of the hotel, and, with the successful completion of the LID program, have the tools to be prepared for an entry level management position with Omni Hotels & Resorts.  The F&B LID will spend time in Juliette's, J Bar, In-Room-Dining & Banquets. The successful candidate will be expected to join the Management team of each outlet to motivate associates, drive results, and exceed the guest expectations through the day to day operation.

    Responsibilities

    • Completion of LID learning contracts; scheduling appointments with contract resources and completing monthly LID progress report.    
    • Be familiar with Food & Beverage  systems and equipment, to include MOS and menu options.   
    • Execute outlet floor  inspections according to standards   
    • Be familiar with all systems and equipments as related to the Food & Beverage Outlet operation (MICROS, Cash Handling/Evention, WineQuest) 
    • Assist with initial and continued training of all line level outlet  associates - conducting MOS audits and on the spot coaching as needed 
    • Assist with shift coverage in the event of call-offs of staff. 
    • Examine food preparation and beverage presentation.   
    • Maintain condition of dining room, lobby lounge, morsels, mini bar and room service.   
    • Assist manager in; scheduling, completing weekly payroll, and forecasting both weekly and monthly.   
    • Participate in interviewing new employees as needed.   
    • Prepare maintenance request and follow-up.   
    • Monitor food and liquor requisitions and food waste.   
    • Check bar controls, shot glass use, red lining, and bottles totally empty daily.   
    • Represent the Omni Brand and Culture at all times; meeting the expectations outlined in the Omni leadership competencies.  Reinforce and train associates on Power of One and Power of Engagement principles  
    • Be actively engaged with our guests and hotel associates, demonstrating and rewarding Power of One behaviors  
    • Support a positive work environment of employee growth and development, interdepartmental teamwork and exceptional customer service.   
    • Be familiar with guest scenarios and follow-up on all guest requests and concerns, effectively adhering to the service recovery process  
    • To be thoroughly acquainted with all outlet and banquet procedures to include beverage inventories, BEO's daily checklists, REO's)   
    • Attend stand ups, BEO meetings, OST meetings and participate in hotel committees    
    • Maintain Four Diamond Standards of guest service   
    • Complete other duties as assigned   

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Hospitality  
    • Previous hotel experience and a passion for the Hospitality industry preferred
    • Must be willing to work 47.5 hour work weeks
    • 1 year of experience in Food and Beverage Supervision or Management role preferred. 
    • Must have the ability to manage deadlines. 
    • Understanding of Food and Beverage financials including cost and par controls is preferred. 
    • General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
    • Must have a strong attention to detail as well as strong customer service skills. 
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. 
    • Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability laws. 
    • Must know emergency procedures and work to prevent accidents. 
    • Must be TIPS Certified.
