    Join us at our Culinary Job Fair on Thursday, 7/11 from 8AM – 6PM at the Omni Barton Creek Resort!


    We will be interviewing for all open positions at the Resort and making on-the-spot offers for Cafeteria Attendants, Production Cooks, Pastry Cooks, and Kitchen Supervisors. 


    No RSVP needed - open interview hours all day!


    Directions: Our office is located at 8212 Barton Club Drive in Austin, TX. When you arrive on property, please drive to the end of the road and park in the parking garage on your left. You can exit the garage on the first floor through the rear entrance and head up the loading dock to the Employee Entrance. Our security team will direct you to the Associate Services Center.



    Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa is seeking Prep Cooks / Production Cooks to join our outstanding culinary team! This Production Cook 2 role will ensure all items are prepped, prepared, and stored according to hotel specifications. This particular position is for the P(afternoon, evening) shift. AM positions are available as well. We are also hiring level 2 and level 3 positions! See our complete job listings for more details.


    These positions pay based on experience. Cook 1 Applicants can expect starting rates of $15.50/hr with under two years of experience or $16.50/hr with over two years of experience. Cook 2 level starts at $14.50, and Cook 3 level starts at $13.50.

    • Efficiently prepare all food items as directed by supervisor and to the company specifications, with limited supervision from management.
    • The ability to identify and inspect all food products for quality.
    • Follow all storage procedures when taking food out of walk-in and when returning food to walk-in.
    • Safely and properly use all culinary equipment.
    • Must have a solid and demonstrated understanding of cooking skills and techniques.
    • Keep walk-in, prep area and equipment up to Health Department and EcoSure standards at all times.
    • Attend department meetings and other company required trainings.
    • Complete other duties as assigned by management.



    • Required to have at least 2 years culinary experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
    • Must be familiar weights and measures in order to follow and multiply standard recipes.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as organizational skills. 
    • Must have basic mathematical skills.
    • The ability to work in a fast paced high pressure work environment while executing delegated tasks and assignments.
    • Culinary degree and/or formal training preferred.
    • Texas Food Handlers certification required.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry moderate weight. Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods of time, with frequent bending and twisting. Must be able to utilize culinary tools (knives, commercial equipment, etc.) and taste/smell.

    Working Environment:

    • Interior of hotel in restaurant and kitchen areas with exposure to humidity, steam and extreme temperatures.
    • Exposure to hazardous cleaning chemicals.

    Tools & Equipment:

    •  Cooking utensils and equipment.
