Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION:         The Che Sara Sara Attendant  / Cashier  is responsible for  assisting guests with their orders in Che Sara Sara while providing friendly and efficient service.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Take orders for guests in a professional manner.
  • Sell sandwiches, snacks, espresso, and specialty beverages.
  • Communicate with the culinary team when more product is needed.
  • Knowledge of food menu and wine list.
  • Know and adhere to all liability laws.
  • Stock condiment trays, coffee station, display cases, and refrigerators.
  • Clean the area as needed and at the end of the shift.
  • Handle all checks and cash according to procedures.
  • Printing of reports at the end of the shift and banking out.
  • Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Be familiar with all property amenities and other restaurants.

 

HOTEL SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

  • None

 

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager.
  • Complete other duties assigned.

 

TOOLS/EQUIPMENT:

  • Coffee maker/urn, toaster, microwave, beverage machines, dishware, walk-in refrigerator
  • Telephone, pen/pencil, Micros computer, calculator

 

ENVIRONMENT:               

  • Interior of hotel, in the restaurant, kitchen and guestroom. Exposure to extreme temperatures.
  • Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals.
  •  Exposure to food items and beverages.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Knowledge, Training, & Work Experience)

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year restaurant experience.
  • Good food and service knowledge.
  • Pleasant personality.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write and speak clearly and accurately in English.
  • TIPS®  certification required
