Job Description

The candidate will handle correspondence and arrange appointments for the Catering, Convention Services and Sales Managers. The candidate will be tasked with completing Banquet Event Orders and monitoring the meeting room availability of the hotel. This individual will work closely with the Catering and Convention Services managers, handling all duties they may require. 

Responsibilities

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner.
  • Answer telephones, direct calls, take and relay messages in a timely manner.
  • File documents and create files as needed.
  • Type and mail all correspondence for assigned managers.
  • Assist Catering and Convention Service Managers in servicing the customers/accounts.
  • Type proposals, contracts, banquet event orders and resumes as needed.
  • Assist managers in special projects - i.e., reports, menus, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
  • Must be able to work flexible days as required.
  • The candidate must be well-versed in computer systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Office.
  • Must be organized, have a willingness to learn and possess a positive attitude.
  • Must also have the ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 30lbs.
  • Previous experience in Catering or Convention Services is preferred.
