Job Description

The Activities Concierge Desk Agent is responsible for working in a fast paced environment that utilizes both operational and selling skills. Your primary responsibility is to be a single point of contact for any guest directed to our desk. Utilizing professional and courteous communication skills you will be able to describe and sell all Resort amenities while fostering a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that enhance the guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Receive telephone calls from guests and potential guests and handle requests per Resort Standards.
  • To initiate email and phone correspondence to future guests to assist them in creating an itinerary for their stay.
  • Learn, familiarize, and sell the various properties, amenities, and services on the Resort.
  • Create an overall “experience” for our guests whether in person or over the phone through use of positive language and professional courtesy.
  • Act as a member of a team, to accomplish the goal of providing an excellent customer service experience for our guests while also working to sell our Resort and its amenities.
  • Proficiency at using our property management system as well as other vertical application software to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Work in conjunction with various other departments including front desk, internal reservations, accounting, sales, conference services, food and beverage, housekeeping, and maintenance to ensure all procedures and policies are being met to enhance overall guest experience.
  • Work in high paced, busy environment that changes hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly depending on the mix of business (guest make up) for that day.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks and producing results as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, plus one year relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training, experience, and/or education.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be pleasant and friendly.
  • Must be able to provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, be attentive to detail and able to multitask with phones, emails and in-person communication.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be comfortable with computers and have intermediate or better basic computer skills.
