Opening in early 2027, Omni Hotels & Resorts has officially broken ground and construction is well underway on Omni Pontoque Resort at Punta de Mita, the brand’s first luxury resort in Mexico. Staying true to the brand’s mission of creating elevated places and spaces that are inspired by a destination, the resort’s exterior and interiors will pay homage to the local culture with a contemporary twist.

 

This beachfront resort will feature 244 guest rooms and suites and two 4-bedroom villas with sweeping views of the Bay of Banderas. Complementing the local area’s many attractions and activities, the resort will offer three original restaurant concepts, a destination spa with 14 treatment rooms, two retail shops, multiple pools including adult-only and family-friendly options, a state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor fitness center, and a kids club. Boasting over 27,000 square feet of meeting and event space, the Omni Pontoque will feature a 6,000 square foot ballroom, an open-air pavilion, multiple event lawns and dedicated meeting rooms, all of which provide breathtaking ocean views.

Job Description

 

Opening in the early 2027, the Omni Pontoque Resort at Punta de Mita will be Omni’s first owned and managed property in Mexico.  

 

Ensure that all Group bookings are handled and processed efficiently and correctly, through consistent interactions with the Sales & Convention Services Departments. To assist the Director of Sales & Marketing, Director of Sales, and Director of National Accounts department’s day-to-day activities, when asked.       

 

Responsibilities

Client & Director Support 

  • Provide assistance to Director of Sales & Marketing, Director of Sales, Director of National Accounts and other associates. 
    • Daily/weekly client engagement, assisting Directors with client follow up on outstanding items. 
  • Support moving business through the sales cycle by tracking responses to RFPs, and assigning leads to managers. 
  • Assess immediate situations and the priority of each; delegate when appropriate and provide independent follow through as required. 
  • Understands Omni Hotels sales and business processes, supports Corporate and property goals and contributes to enhancement of customer value. 

 

Communication & Meeting Support 

  • Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate sales manager or determine and perform the necessary action for incoming calls. 
  • Keep minutes for sales meetings and other important meetings. 

 

Sales Systems & Data Management 

  • Enter sales opportunities into Delphi FDC; keep information current on each lead. 
  • Create and run reports in Sales Force, PowerBI and SQL. 
  • Run Pipeline report and distribute. 
  •  Learn and utilize Sales Force, following all the standards for entering sales activity and lead generation. 
  • Maintain strong system hygiene by ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and timely updates across all platforms. 

 

Reporting & Documentation 

  • Prepare the End of Month Report that tracks office production for Directors. 
  • Review and process expense reports and audit invoices for accuracy and ensure timely submittal. 

Site Visit Logistics 

  • Assist to coordinate all site visit logistics, timelines, and internal communications with Directors 
  • Arrange accommodations, dining, transportation, and on-property experiences 
  • Prepare visit agendas, presentations, and supporting materials 
  • Liaise with internal departments to confirm availability and secure services 
  • Ensure brand standards and service expectations are reflected throughout the experience 

Qualifications

  • Previous Mexico resort experience required 
  • Bi-Lingual (Spanish & English) required 
  • Opening resort experience preferred 
  • Previous experience in a Luxury Hotel Customer Service / Reservations (strongly preferred) 
  • 2-4 years of administrative experience preferred 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus 
  • Strong preference to those candidates with hotel experience 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment 
  • Strong financial and statistical analysis skills 
  • Professional communication skills, including group presentations, both oral and written 
  • Must be a team player within the region and contribute positive energy 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and re-prioritize when necessary 
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment 
  • Other duties as assigned by DOSM/DOS
