Job Description

The Homestead Allegheny Springs / Spa Pool Maintenance & Cleaning is dedicated to providing quality service that exceeds Guest and Member expectations work to create guests for life, by proactively embracing The Omni Homestead service standards, adhering to safety regulations and gaining the knowledge to assist guests and associates with any and all needs.

Responsibilities

 

Essential Functions:    

  • Pool cleaning equipment operation. Must be able to enter the pools as needed to complete all daily cleaning and eliminate algae depoits.

 

  • Consistently demonstrate and own any and all tasks needed to carry out the Omni MOS. Ensuring that 6 pillars are utilized in all interactions.
  • Demonstrate commitment to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others. Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency, and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.
  • Know and share information about the resort and activities, demonstrate this knowledge by accurately communicating daily events, hours of operation and resort/activity information to our guests and associates.
  • Maintains a clean, aesthetically desirable and safe environment which meets the Omni Standards of Operations.
  • Know and adheres to the Omni Personal Appearance Standard.
  • Responsible for maintaining a maintenance checklist/schedule for all deck cleaning.
  • Will maintain MSDS standards and assist in keeping MSDS records updated.
  • Will assist in training and MOS coaching for entry level Pool Cleaner staff.
  • Performs (or contacts facility maintenance and housekeeping to assist with) repairs including, but not limited to: pool testing procedures, pool chemical balance procedures, filtration system, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, building equipment, carpentry, special projects, and other related areas.
  • Communicates and correspond with the Allegheny Springs or Spa General Maintenance staff to coordinate, acknowledge, document and complete all tasks.
  • Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

 

  • Uses a variety of tools and equipment including but not limited to power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment.
  • Works with Allegheny Springs Manager, Spa Manager, and the Allegheny Springs Food & Beverage Manager to assure emergency and safety work orders are handled promptly.
  • Will act as a “skate attendant 1” during ice skating operation in addition to current job description duties.

Secondary Responsibilities and Functions:

  • Because of the fluctuating demands of the company’s operation, it may be necessary that each associate perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other Employee Partners are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.
  • Maintaining records and files.
  • Order supplies, contact vendors necessary to complete job requirement with assistance from Mechanical Admin Assistant or Allegheny Springs Supervisor.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work area.
  • Completes routine maintenance of the facility to include light bulbs, carpentry, plumbing, and preventative maintenance of the entire facility.

 

Tools and Equipment:

 

  • Chemical control units, filters, pumps, hand and power tools

 

Working Environment:

 

  • Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license, a clear motor vehicle record and one year of driving history.
  • All drivers of company or guest vehicles must also pass a pre-employment drug screening or pass a drug screening when transferred/promoted to a driving position.
  • Previous guest service / customer service experience, with the associated mindset to always provide the highest level of service
  • Ability to understand and speak basic English in order to communicate with guests and co-workers
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours at a time, walk quickly and run
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability and willingness to work outdoors in inclement weather including rain, snow, wind, and heat
  • Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule which includes working on weekends and holidays, nights, and overnights
