Job Description

Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU is seeking a Lobby / Public Space Housekeeping Attendant to join the housekeeping team. This will be an AM/PM flex schedule, our selected candidate must have open availability to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the hotel lobbies are serviced throughout the day.
  • Service all public restrooms in lobby, lower lobby, and pool areas.
  • Restock the pool with towels and ensure the pool deck is neat and tidy.
  • Ensure the fitness center is neat and tidy and that it is properly stocked with amenities.
  • Service the executive offices.
  • Services both men's and ladies associate locker rooms.
  • Always keep balconies neat and clean.
  • Ensure main guest entrance and hotel drive is neat and clean at all times.
  • Ensure all ash urns throughout property are always neat and clean.
  • Ensure water fountains and phone stations are always maintained neat and clean.
  • Service guest and associate elevators.
  • Understand both Housekeeping and Houseperson positions well enough to perform duties in associates’ absence.
  • Maintain highest levels of cleanliness throughout the hotel property.
  • Complete daily and weekly cleaning projects as assigned.
  • Assist with guest requests if needed.
  • Anticipate, listen, and follow through with all the guests’ requests in a timely manner.
  • Communicate any needs or concerns within the hotel with the appropriate departments.
  • Follow all Loss Prevention procedures regarding guest property, safety, and security. Reporting any concerns to department managers or loss prevention in a timely manner.
  • Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications

  • Ability to maintain the highest-level cleanliness and service standards.
  • Ability to work with management on special projects.
  • Strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency as required.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to push or pull a minimum of 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for entire shift.
  • Must be able to communicate via radio and phone as needed.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.
  • This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
