Job Description

The Guest Experience & Events Supervisor is responsible for assisting in organizing, planning and overseeing the execution of events and activities, resort-wide. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: family activities, year round family activities, theme weekends, seasonal festival and celebrations, resort sponsored promotions, après ski parties, downhill races and winter programs at the ski area, culinary events and holiday activities. This position will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams, as well as all other hotel departments to promote and implement all events and activities. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the creation and implementation of summer and winter activities, theme and holiday weekends.
    • Assists with the development of innovative programs/activities, coordinates and implements activities for special events, social programs and corporate groups.
    • Assists in coordinating lectures, artists, entertainment, performers and other necessary contractual services for activities and special events.
    • Responsible for making banquet event orders, spec sheets, agendas, check requests, special lodging requests, and all other necessary paperwork for activities. 
    • Maintains a file for each special activity, lecture, artist, entertainer, etc. 
    • Evaluates and summarizes each special activities and follows up with the appropriate executives in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Attends all activities and events meetings.
    • Assure the Concierge Desk is stocked completely with the appropriate resort collateral, and Concierge is kept up to date on all pertinent information.
    • Maintain a library of regional information (i.e. directions, dining options, etc.)
    • Contributes to the team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed. 

Qualifications

Working Environment:

  • Interior of the hotel, in normal office conditions.
  • Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
  • Subject to working in a crowded environment, long periods of walking and standing.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and pull and push up to 70lbs.

Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
    • Event promotion/implementation experience is preferred.
    • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Must provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
    • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Must be attentive to detail.
    • Must have the ability to adapt to unexpected situations.
    • Must be punctual and reliable.
    • Must be able to remain calm and portray a friendly demeanor in stressful situations.
    • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
