Job Description

The Vehicle Maintenance Technician works with the Vehicle Maintenance Manager to ensure needed and preventive maintenance is performed regularly on all resort vehicles, including but not limited to transportation vans, work trucks, heavy equipment and mowers.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible to diagnose and repair all fleet vehicles in a timely manner
  • Ensure all records of repairs are forwarded to the Vehicle Maintenance Manager upon completion of repair.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles as assigned by the Vehicle Maintenance Manager.
  • Create needed parts list when working on vehicles and forward to Vehicle Maintenance Manager for ordering.
  • Perform welding as necessary to repair broken brackets, mounts, etc.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and vehicle repairs on heavy equipment as necessary
  • Commercial drivers License within one year of hire.

 

Tools and Equipment:

  • Hand tools necessary for working on vehicles
  • Telephone, pen/pencil, copier

 

Working Environment:

  • Garage building – indoors
  • Exterior when necessary
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals/product

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED and one to three years of experience in facility maintenance and/or mechanical repair required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Etc.)
