Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU is seeking an energetic and skilled Kitchen Culinary Supervisor to join our Neighborhood Services Bar + Restaurant team. This is an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional with leadership experience who thrives in a fast-paced, upscale, scratch-kitchen environment. The Culinary Supervisor will support the Chef de Cuisine and lead a talented team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Supervise daily kitchen operations and lead culinary associates during assigned shifts
Provide direction, coaching, and support to ensure efficient workflow and a positive team environment
Assist with training, and performance development
Oversee food preparation, station setup, and expediting to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish
Maintain high standards for taste, presentation, and timeliness of orders
Support menu execution and collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine on specials and seasonal offerings
Mentor line cooks and prep staff, sharing culinary techniques, kitchen best practices, and professional guidance
Foster a culture of learning, creativity, and accountability
Assist with ordering, receiving, and maintaining proper stock levels
Monitor food usage, portion control, and waste reduction to support profitability goals
Enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with local regulations and Omni Hotels & Resorts policies
Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of food products
Perform additional job-related duties as assigned
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a full-service restaurant or upscale hotel kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Passion for Scratch Cooking: You bring a deep appreciation for working with fresh ingredients and have experience in scratch kitchens that prioritize quality and creativity.
Team-Oriented: Excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to collaborate with culinary and front-of-house teams to create an outstanding guest experience.
Desire to Learn: Eagerness to grow under the guidance of an experienced Chef de Cuisine, with a goal of advancing your culinary leadership skills.
*This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
