Job Description

The Pool Attendant is responsible for guest satisfaction in the pool area by providing and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest service.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and neatness of pool facility.
  • Responsible for the cleaning and disinfecting of pool equipment.
  • Maintain bathrooms and restock supplies as needed.
  • Ensure all beverages, linens and towels are always clean, prepared and well stocked.
  • Be actively engaged with our guests.  Identify the needs of our guests and meet these needs, aiming to exceed expectations at every opportunity.

Qualifications

  • Prior guest service experience required, preferably in hotels
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers, with the ability to answer guest questions and describe menu items.
  • Must be able to speak with enthusiasm and be comfortable talking and interacting with guests in a pool environment. 
  • Ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent customer service, service recovery and problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to work outdoors throughout entire shift.
  • Must be available to work from April through September.
  • Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead and squatting.  Lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 30 lbs 
  • Push/pull objects weighing up to 75 lbs without assistance.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, specifically weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in indoor/outdoor environments.
