Job Description

Keep the heart of the hotel running smoothly. As our Overnight Maintenance Engineer, you’ll ensure everything behind the scenes is safe, efficient, and operating at its best—so our guests can enjoy seamless comfort, day or night.

Responsibilities

  • Complete preventive maintenance schedules on all key equipment

  • Operate and maintain low-pressure boilers and other systems supporting hot water, kitchen steam, and A/C

  • Respond quickly and effectively to maintenance calls and emergencies

  • Assist contractors and fellow mechanics with property repairs and improvements

  • Maintain commercial kitchen, laundry, and pool equipment

  • Monitor and follow up on all assigned work orders and daily task lists

  • Stay in constant communication with team via radio during your shift

  • Know emergency protocols, fire safety systems, and OSHA regulations

  • Support other hotel departments as needed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in hotel or commercial building maintenance

  • Hands-on knowledge of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment (refrigeration a plus)

  • Proven ability to respond effectively in emergency situations

  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and time management

  • Comfortable using basic computer systems and mobile work orders

  • Physically able to walk/stand for extended periods and lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs occasionally

  • Comfortable with ladders, tight spaces, and overhead work
