Job Description

The Assistant Front Office Manager is directly responsible for the operations of the Front Office, Select Guest, Valet & Security on a scheduled shift.

The position assists the department Director in leading, training and developing all department Associates. In addition to ensuring service metrics are achieved for the Front Office departments.

Responsibilities

This position reports to DOFO while ensuring department compliance with all Front Office systems, processes, SOP’s and policies pertaining to Front Office & hotel operations and appropriate areas of responsibilities. Able to make operational decisions in absence of DOO & / or GM. Will train associates to include Guest Services, Front Desk, Valet & Security Associates. Drives department team in meeting employee and guest satisfaction goals. Candidate must have exceptional attention to detail, organizational & training skills. Attends meetings as requested, partners with all departments in ensuring exceptional guest experience. Performs other tasks as needed or directed to ensure effective hotel operation. Functions as manager on duty on certain shifts.

Qualifications

Working knowledge of Night Audit, Kronos, synergy or other property management system is required.

A two-year degree, preferably in Hospitality

Minimum 3 years Hotel Front Office / Rooms leader experience in a labor environment & similar luxury setting 

OMNI MID / SDDP graduate will be considered in lieu of equivalent experience.

Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

Engaging leader with a can do, hands on, participative management style

Strong communication & mentoring skills
