Job Description

The Engineer will ensure that the hotel property is properly cared for and well maintained and reflects an image of outstanding quality. Responsible for responding to guest calls on the overnight shift. The engineer will fix minor issues and repairs, as well as, respond to guest calls for maintenance in an efficient and courteous manner. Will ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all public areas and guestrooms on an on-going basis (corner guards, locks, windows, doors, and furniture.)
• Keep the hotel decor in good condition.
• Clean all work areas after completing job.
• Fill out daily work form.
• Have the knowledge and ability to use the proper equipment and tools.
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotels rules and regulations

Qualifications

  • Required to have a Class 2 operating engineer license and universal EPA certificate.
  • Previous experience is desirable in hotel setting. 
  • High school or equivalent education required.
  • Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs.
  • Must be able to work overnight shift.
