Job Description

Supervise servers/bartenders on the floor, make sure food is presented neatly, served on time and that all functions are coordinated properly.

Responsibilities

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Responsible for controlling all aspects in the execution of banquet functions.
  • Read and understand BEOs
  • Effectively supervise and coordinating the Banquet staff during all food and beverage service.
  • Effectively communicate with Culinary staff and other management staff to ensure success of all functions.
  • Responsible for adhering to property/company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for adhering to all liquor liability laws.
  • Responsible for all accurate billing, to include Micros and Delphi postings and all liquor consumption reports
  • Must assist/conduct all designated staff/pre-function meetings.
  • Computer Skills, (Outlook, Delphi, Excel)
  • Attend all property/department meetings
  • Assist the Banquet Manager in the complete operation of the Banquet Department.

 

  • HOTEL SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • To know all general information about the property and be able to accurately answer all guests questions.
  • To know layout of the property and all meeting room names and locations.

 

  • TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:
  • Computer, coffee maker/urn, toaster, , beverage machines, bus trays, dishware, silverware, glassware, queen-mary cart, telephone, pen/pencil, Micros

 

  • WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
  • Interior/Exterior of hotel, in the restaurant, lounge and kitchen areas, with exposure to extreme temperatures.
  • Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals.
  • Exposure to food items and beverages.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years food and beverage experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Pleasant and helpful personality.
  • Availability to include weekends and holidays
  • Computer knowledge
  • RAMP certification required
