Come and join our team at this  605-room convention center hotel in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City.  Our luxury hotel is located next to the Paycom Center(OKC Thunder),  the Oklahoma Convention Center and across the street from the 70-acre Scissortail Park.

 

The property  includes an all-day dining outlet (Seltzer's Modern Diner), an entertainment sports bar (OKC Tap House), specialty restaurant (Bob's Steak & Chop House), coffee shop (Park Grounds) and a retail outlet (RareBird Gift Shop). Additionally, guests can enjoy a Mokara Spa, fitness center and a rooftop pool and bar (CatBird Seat) complete with a fire pit, outdoor lawn and cabanas. The hotel offers 76,000 square feet of meeting and event space inclusive of a 20,000 square foot ballroom, 10,000 square foot ballroom, and a 4,200 square foot outdoor pre-function space that overlooks the park.

Job Description

Meticulously manage and oversee the group reservation process.   Process group rooming list and review weekly Groups Approaching Cutoff reports to support group rooms forecasting efforts.  Assist the Director of Revenue Management, Director of Sales & Marketing, Director of Sales, and Director of Catering & Convention Service with weekly and monthly group rooms reporting efforts and administrative duties.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee room inventory and ensure proper blocking strategies are in place. Raise awareness to any inventory issues.
  • Property-wide departmental interaction
  • Receives in-house reservations inquiries
  • Process cancellations accordingly to policy
  • Accurate input of Reservations into system within specified time periods
  • Maximize potential room revenue by following specified selling guidelines
  • Ensure that rooming lists are free of duplicates
  • Respond to guest calls in a timely manner
  • All convention resumes are audited prior to groups arrival
  • Attend Revenue Management, Resume, Pre-Convention, and Group Cutoff meetings
  • Have a thorough understanding of hotel occupancy trends
  • Familiar with all reservation special packages and procedures
  • Understand Select Guest program and VIP procedures.
  • Thoroughly knowledgeable of our PMS and ORS, with a broad knowledge of Opera.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all guests and hotel information
  • Understand and execute all Omni accounting standards ensuring accurate settlement of folios, routing of charges and adjustments
  • Maintain accurate guest profile notes
  • Generate, print and distribute daily and weekly reports
  • Maintain complete knowledge at all times of all hotel features/services, hours of operation, room types, numbers, layout, decor, appointments and locations, room rates, special packages and promotions.

Qualifications

  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently input information into computer systems
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department
  • Ability to compute accurate mathematical calculations
  • Ability to think clearly, quickly and make concise decisions
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up
  • Ability to work well under pressure, dealing with many arrivals and departures within a short period of time
  • Ability to learn and master multiple software systems required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Previous hotel experience in a Reservations, Front Office, Sales and Marketing or Accounting environment is preferred.
  • Fluency in a foreign language is preferred
  • Strong keyboard skills preferred.
  • Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
  • Requires repetitive motion.
  • Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
