Come and join our team at this  605-room convention center hotel in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City.  Our luxury hotel is located next to the Paycom Center(OKC Thunder),  the Oklahoma Convention Center and across the street from the 70-acre Scissortail Park.

 

The property  includes an all-day dining outlet (Seltzer's Modern Diner), an entertainment sports bar (OKC Tap House), specialty restaurant (Bob's Steak & Chop House), coffee shop (Park Grounds) and a retail outlet (RareBird Gift Shop). Additionally, guests can enjoy a Mokara Spa, fitness center and a rooftop pool and bar (CatBird Seat) complete with a fire pit, outdoor lawn and cabanas. The hotel offers 76,000 square feet of meeting and event space inclusive of a 20,000 square foot ballroom, 10,000 square foot ballroom, and a 4,200 square foot outdoor pre-function space that overlooks the park.

Job Description

An amazing opportunity to be a pivotal part of the Omni convention collection hotel. The Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is a true outdoor recreation, entertainment and culinary destination paying homage to the heritage and modern progress of the city. With 605 guest rooms and suites, the luxury hotel will showcase views of the 70-acre Scissortail Park and the downtown skyline with 75,000 square feet of meeting and event space, sports bar, specialty restaurant, coffee shop and a retail venue.

 

This role will ensure that our hotel is well-maintained and reflects an image of outstanding quality.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CARE, PRP (Guest room preventative maintenance), Public Area maintenance and select Equipment preventative maintenance to the specifications required by Omni in both quantity and quality.
  • Clean guest rooms, conference facilities, halls, public area spaces, bathrooms, and windows; clean and polish mirrors.
  • Dust, mop, vacuum, extract/shampoo carpets and dispose of refuse.
  • Follow required safe cleaning and sanitizing procedures
  • Remove, sort, fold, carry and replace linens; make beds, replenish supplies, set up guest room and meeting room furniture, pictures, and amenities according to resort standards.
  • Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
  • Able to work with Management on special projects.
  • Willing to learn and understand the Standards of Practice for the Engineering Department.
  • Willing to learn and understand the importance of Lock out Tag out, the dangers of arc flashes and other precautions that need to be taken around equipment.
  • Able to maintain engineering shops in a clean and organized manner.
  • Able to maintain engineering parts and supplies inventory.
  • Aid guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible)
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications.

Qualifications

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Must be able to move, bend, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Push/pull items up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.  Requires repetitive motion.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to stand for 8 hours at a time
  • Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule which includes working on weekends and holidays
  • Previous experience in housekeeping is strongly preferred
  • Must be able to work a 5-day workweek, including weekends and holidays
  • Effective verbal and written communication
