Job Description

The Omni Richmond Hotel is hiring for a dependable Banquet Houseperson to join our awesome team. As a Banquet Houseperson, one of the main responsibilities is setting up and breaking down all banquet spaces associated to ensure everything is set according to guest expectation and Omni Standards. This position is an On-Call position which means that hours may vary and will fluctuate depending on business needs. 

 

ON-CALL

Pay rate: $15.00/hr

Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Cleaning the banquet spaces prior to set-up.
  • Setting equipment to Banquet Event Order specifications.
  • Providing required amenities, as dictated by Banquet Department Standards.
  • Refreshing banquet spaces during meal and coffee breaks.
  • Breaking down the banquet setups as soon as possible after end of function.
  • Completing special projects as directed by department management.
  • Moving convention material boxes, programs, etc. from hotel receiving docks, registration areas,sleeping rooms, or suites.
  • Caring for the equipment.
  • Reporting any cosmetic room needs to department management.
  • Accommodating special customer needs

Qualifications

The basic qualifications are:

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to multi task
  • Must be able to work from written directions
  • Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift
  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50lbs without assistance
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be 18 years or older
