Come and join our team at this  605-room convention center hotel in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City.  Our luxury hotel is located next to the Paycom Center(OKC Thunder),  the Oklahoma Convention Center and across the street from the 70-acre Scissortail Park.

 

The property  includes an all-day dining outlet (Seltzer's Modern Diner), an entertainment sports bar (OKC Tap House), specialty restaurant (Bob's Steak & Chop House), coffee shop (Park Grounds) and a retail outlet (RareBird Gift Shop). Additionally, guests can enjoy a Mokara Spa, fitness center and a rooftop pool and bar (CatBird Seat) complete with a fire pit, outdoor lawn and cabanas. The hotel offers 76,000 square feet of meeting and event space inclusive of a 20,000 square foot ballroom, 10,000 square foot ballroom, and a 4,200 square foot outdoor pre-function space that overlooks the park.

Job Description

The Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is seeking a Hair Stylist to join the team of this upscale hotel. This team member is responsible for guest satisfaction in the spa by performing services to the best of their ability and maintaining Omni standards throughout all procedures.

 

An amazing opportunity to be a pivotal part of the Omni convention collection hotel. The Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is a true outdoor recreation, entertainment and culinary destination paying homage to the heritage and modern progress of the city. With 605 guest rooms and suites, the luxury hotel will showcase views of the 70-acre Scissortail Park and the downtown skyline with 75,000 square feet of meeting and event space, sports bar, specialty restaurant, coffee shop and a retail venue.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide the very highest quality in terms of hair service and professional concept.
  • To work as part of the Spa service team to consistently provide the highest possible standard of treatment, creating a sensory journey for guests helping them to rest, relax and regain a sense of balance and harmony in their lives.
  • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures. To begin and end treatments at the published time and ensure correct procedures of all treatments are being followed at all times.
  • Properly care for equipment and implements and tools and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
  • Have complete knowledge and understanding of all hair services and products while educating and training guests in these areas.
  • Ensure all equipment and lines etc. are fully stocked on a day to day basis in your treatment room.
  • Ensure all inventory levels are accurate so that you are prepared for your day.
  • Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
  • Ensure all professional stock is being used in compliance with the PAR levels to assist with reduction in product waste.
  • Responsible for setting up the hair service area according to procedures, and dispose of laundry on a timely basis.
  • Relay with confidence product and service benefit to guests.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
  • Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings.
  • Perform all services for which training has been received in the allotted period and without personal interpretation of the treatment application.
  • Report any maintenance problems throughout the spa to the proper authority.
  • Stay current and educated with new treatments and products in the Spa industry.
  • Must always maintain client and spa business confidentiality/privacy.
  • Must agree and adhere to compensation acknowledgment and tip reporting guidelines.
  • Communicate to management all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
  • Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.

Qualifications

  • Current State of Oklahoma Cosmetology or Barbering License
  • Previous experience in hair services 
  • Compliant to State Board sanitation/sterilization procedures
  • Proficient skills in cutting, drying, styling, and special occasion hairstyling
  • High personal standards and values
  • Excellent client care, guest service and attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to update technical skills by facilitating and participating in on-going training
  • Effective communicator and listener
  • The ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
  • The ability to bend, reach and lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts including holidays and weekends
