Job Description

To ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained resort environment by servicing our kitchen equipment and refrigeration units throughout the beautiful Omni Homestead resort. 

Responsibilities

  • This position wii be required to gain a complete and extensive knowledge of the property:
  • All skills possessed by HVAC Technician 3
  • Ability to communicate with or notify and department/stakeholder throughout the resort regarding shut downs, water back-ups, or failures that will impact the resort in a confident and professional manner.
  • Must be able to create work orders in the appropriate Omni work request program.
  • HVAC Technician 2 must be able to maintain all the HVAC and chilled water equipment on the property. Will also assist HVAC Technician 1 with refrigeration units as necessary.
  • Must be able to work alone and in teams (when necessary) to affect major repairs of RHU’s and AHU’s under the guidance of HVAC Technician 1 or Supervisor.
  • Provide technical assistance to other technicians as necessary.
  • Able to complete most reasonable jobs unassisted.
  • Dependable and able to adapt to the situation presented before them.
  • Work on other equipment as needed.
  • Maintain inventory and orders HVAC supplies.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations.
  • And any other reasonable task asked by management. 

Tools and Equipment:

  • Telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine
  • HVAC hand, power & shop tools
  • Soldering, brazing, welding & cutting equipment

Working Environment:

  • Interior of hotel, in all areas of the hotel. Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
  • Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
  • Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.

Qualifications

  • Previous maintenance experience required, hotel experience and training preferred. 
  • At least 5 years’ experience in refrigeration.
  • Must be EPA certified.
  • Good communication, attention to detail, time management, and guest satisfaction skills are required.
  • Move, lift, carry and push items weighing up to 50-100lbs without assistance.
  • Candidates must be able to utilize step stools and ladders effectively.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends and holidays
