Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Restaurant & Bar Host for the beautiful Interlocken Hotel! 

Exciting transformations are underway! We are rebranding and opening newly renovated restaurant outlets at Interlocken. Join our team as we launch our new concept restaurant and Bar, Shep's.

Shep's is a beer forward gastropub and is the hotel's primary restaurant outlet. Shep's will open on December 11th and training begins December 2nd!

Omni Interlocken Hotel is seeking a Restaurant host to join our food and beverage team! This vital role will work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and Food & Beverage Leaders to professionally greet & assist guests, resulting in high levels of guest satisfaction. This highly motivated individual will ensure all guests are greeted and seated in a friendly and courteous manner using appropriate procedures, in accordance with Omni Standards.

Part time and Full time PM restaurant shifts available.

Salary range for this position (based on experience): $20.00/hour. Part Time Associates at Omni Interlocken Hotel are entitled to elect the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and other healthcare benefits, Paid Maternity Leave. Omni Interlocken Hotel reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race.

• Answer phone calls.
• Seating guests.
• Control heavy volume at Restaurant entrance.
• Assist with Restaurant in Room or Restaurant to Go orders as needed.
• Assist the team with the cleanliness of the restaurant when needed.
• Assist with side work - rolling silverware, restocking, wiping down menus, wiping down high chairs, and any additional tasks from leadership.
• Knowledge of hotel property to best assist our guests.
• Warm hospitality greeting with all guests.
• Attend to and anticipate guests’ needs.
• Familiarization with menu.
• Knowledge of daily specials.
• Assist with delivery of hotel amenities

• Open Table knowledge preferred.
• Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers, with the ability to answer guest questions and describe menu items.
• Developed customer service skills with refined phone etiquette.
• Professional appearance, high energy and the ability to naturally engage with guests.
• Ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast paced environment.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 20 pounds without assistance. Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead and twisting.
• Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. 
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including both Saturday and Sundays and holidays.
• Must be 18 years old or older.
