A Painter's role is to maintain interior and exterior of hotel buildings as directed by supervisor by performing all painting in a quality manner, keeping area clean as possible. 

• Use correct prep techniques and products, keep adjacent clean, mask or use drop cloths to protect areas not painted.
• Paint interiors and exteriors of buildings using the correct products for each job and be able to identify existing finishes.
• Be able to match existing colors and finishes and tint as necessary.
• Keep storeroom stocked; keep supervisor aware of par levels of products.
• Meet schedules as closely as possible. Keep supervisor informed of discrepancies.  Stay motivated to complete on time.Operate a cart and push cart.
• Know correct use of brushes, rollers and other painting equipments. Maintain this equipment, clean properly, etc.
• Clean any mistakes and clean up areas painted when complete.
• Be familiar with different painting techniques
• Responsible for any wall treatments as necessary. Including drywall repairs, patching, painting, wallcovering, texture, and faux finishes.

• At least two years experience in the trade preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of finishes, tinting, brush and roller technique, supervisory experience over other painters, organizational skills, attention to detail and new construction or remodel experience helpful.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay Rate: $25.50/hr
