Job Description

The role of the Night Desk Supervisor is to oversee and coordinate all night time front desk and  audit functions, execute computer maintenance requirements, and ensure all financial transactions for the day are verified and balanced.

Responsibilities

  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs according to Omni’s Moments of Service and Standard Operating Procedures. Where applicable, ensure process meets Forbes Service Standards
  • Be actively engaged with our guests. Identify the needs of our guests and meet these needs, aiming to exceed expectations at every opportunity
  • Balance daily posting and revenue, and resolution of inaccuracies
  • Fully knowledgeable in all emergency  procedures
  • Distribution of all nightly reports
  • Efficiently process guaranteed no show billings
  • Handle Express Check-outs ensuring their completion
  • Train and supervise Night Desk Clerks and 3rd shift Front Office staff
  • Ensure adherence to all systems and control procedures
  • Ensure that that 3rd shift Night Desk checklist and responsibilities are completed
  • In absence of MOD, conduct property walk and  complete overnight MOD report

Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience
  • Previous cash handling experience
  • Previous hotel experience highly preferred
  • Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift
  • Ability to work well under pressure, dealing with many arrivals and departures within a short period of time
  • Ability to think clearly, quickly and make concise decisions
  • Ability to assist the Overnight Manager in holding the team accountable for their assigned responsibilities
  • Ability to clearly communicate (verbal and written) with guests, associates and vendors
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays and weekends
  • Strong computer skills (Synergy, Nucleus, Epitome, Vision, GoConcierge, Microsoft Office)
