Job Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for daily supervision of the Housekeeping staff, quality service, guest satisfaction and safety.  Supervises cleaning and assists in administration of Housekeeping services in safe and efficient compliance with policies and procedures, brand standards, and federal, state and local regulations. 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for opening or closing the department and assigning the room attendant boards in the monring
  • Issue staff cleaning assignments including special requests, areas of concentration and deep cleaning
  • Ensure maintenance problems are promptly reported to Engineering and logged into Synergy
  • Inspect assigned guest room floors and rooms to ensure cleanliness
  • Insect public areas of the hotel and back of house to ensure cleanliness
  • Ensure new associates are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve job expectations 
  • Respond to guest requests, concerns, and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilites as assigned.
  • Attend departmental meetings as scheduled 

Qualifications

  • Must have excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must have 1 year of hotel experience within a guest service role
  • Housekeeping experience at a supervisory level preferred.
  • Must be able to stand for a period of 8 hours
  • Knowledge of Opera is a plus
