Job Description

  

The Guest Services Agent (Valet) is responsible for providing friendly and efficient service during the arrival and departure process for guests, including greetings, parking and retrieval of vehicles, delivery and storage of luggage and complete attention and assistance to all guests.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Warmly greeting all guests
  • Assisting guests with luggage
  • Completing parking forms to include physical vehicle inspection
  • Parking guest’s vehicles in a safe manner
  • Retrieval of vehicles in an urgent manner
  • In-room deliveries of amenities.

 

 

HOTEL SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

  • Delivery of newspapers and express check-out folios to guestrooms
  • Staging cars for departures
  • Keeping guest’s keys secure at all items
  • Ample knowledge of property layout, activities, outlets and hours of operation

 

 

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager
  • Assist in other departments as needed
  • Attend monthly departmental meetings

 

TOOLS/EQUIPMENT:

  • Radios and earpieces
  • Pens and paper; Luggage/valet tags; key cabinet and locks
  • Golf carts

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent; Two years of college education preferred
  • must be 21 and over.
  • Valid drivers’ license and clean driving record; ability to learn to drive manual vehicles
  • Experience in the hospitality industry preferred
  • Excellent oral and communication skills; excellent customer service skills
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule including mornings, nights, holidays and weekends; comfortable standing for long periods of time and handling all types of weather conditions
